Job Title: Social Media and E-commerce Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the creative team to create compelling visual assets for all social platforms, including photographs and videos, that showcase ARJÉ products, furniture, design inspiration, and lifestyle moments, fostering an emotional connection with our audience.
  • Work with influencers in the design and lifestyle space, identifying interesting personalities that align with ARJÉ's brand to support the brand through collaborations, partnerships, and unique content.
  • Write compelling and engaging copy that effectively communicates the brand's stories, inspirations, and product narratives, while staying true to ARJÉ's unique voice and tone.
  • Support in general studio management, assisting with both administrative and creative tasks as needed, including coordinating shipments, tracking orders, organizing inventory and samples for photoshoots, working with vendors to pull samples, and maintaining a well-organized studio space.
  • Assist in all aspects of photo shoot production, including managing samples, organizing logistics, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations before, during, and after shoots.
  • Work between the ARJÉ Studio in Brooklyn and ARJÉ Showroom in Manhattan to create content and support the team wherever needed, ensuring a seamless flow of operations between the two locations.
  • Work on all social and e-commerce backend, including managing online platforms, optimizing product listings and uploading new products and collections.
  • Keep ARJÉ's presence on Pinterest up to date, curating visually appealing boards and optimizing content for maximum engagement.

  • Demonstrate creativity and a keen eye for visual storytelling, with the ability to create compelling and captivating social media content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging copy that embodies the ARJÉ voice.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with photography and video editing tools and techniques.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends, cultural events, and emerging design talents.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment, embracing the multifaceted nature of the role.


Job Title: Furniture Design Intern

We are searching for a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Furniture Design Intern at ARJÉ. As an Intern, you will work closely with our creative team to develop unique furniture concepts, from sketches to technical renders and building prototypes, bringing our vision to life.

This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the furniture design field while being immersed in the ARJÉ lifestyle and aesthetics. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of technical sketches and detailed renderings of furniture designs to effectively communicate design intent and specifications.
  • Produce alternate color renders to showcase furniture designs in different finishes, allowing clients to visualize the possibilities.
  • Aid in the sourcing of materials and finishes for new and custom projects, ensuring the selection aligns with ARJÉ's aesthetic and quality standards.
  • Support the prototyping process by actively engaging in hands-on furniture construction techniques in our wood workshop, and collaborating closely with the creative team.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized studio space and managing inventory, including the sample library, ensuring efficient workflow and seamless operations.
  • Assist in preparing and sending product samples, catalogs, and product information to interior designers and clients.
  • Maintain an organized database of contacts and communication records with interior designers and design firms.
  • Assist in the creation of sets and props for all photoshoots, ensuring the desired aesthetic and brand vision are achieved.

 

Requirements:

  • A genuine understanding and appreciation for the ARJÉ lifestyle, encompassing design, fashion, and the fusion of aesthetics in the world of furniture.
  • Demonstrated creativity and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to translate concepts into visually appealing and functional designs.
  • Proficiency in furniture design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, SolidWorks), along with a strong foundation in hand sketching.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and visual, to effectively articulate design ideas and collaborate with team members.
  • Passion for craftsmanship, materials, and the art of furniture making, with a desire to create pieces that stand the test of time.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
